Kauner Cerbantez is a 7 year old boy who is full of life and loves to dance! Kauner was born with Wiskott Aldrich Syndrome(WAS) which is a rare disorder that affects his immune system, platelets, and skin. Kauner suffers from severe eczema on a daily basis. Despite his many hospitalizations and illnesses he continues to be optimistic about his healing. Kauner is in need of a bone marrow transplant. The transplant is the only known cure for WAS. At this time we believe that the transplant will take place in Rochester, Minnesota. Kauner will have to spend anywhere from one to three months in the hospital depending on the outcome of his procedure. The first 100 days are the highest risk for infection for a transplant patient, so if Kauner does have to stay one month in the hospital the next 60 days or so he will need to remain near the transplant team. Donations will be used to help with finances for this 3 month process.
